Businesses have to create value. It is their reason for existence. Employment contracts likewise must create value for the company and the employee. This must be true for the relationship to be valid. Good businesses optimize their value creation and have no invalid relationships.
We only want to do things that create value for us. Anything that creates no value we do not want. Therefore it is essential for us to be aware of the value of the things we do.
If people feel coerced into an activity, they do it to avoid greater pain. Consequently avoidance of pain with as little effort as possible will be the value they strive for in performing that task. Unfortunately this happens in many work environments. Positive value comes from people who freely engage in creative activity.
Value Creation is a science of the free mind and common sense. It comes easy and natural if activity is aligned with human nature. If systems are not easy and natural, yielding an abundant outcome, than they are not good enough and they are not what they pretend or aspire to be.
